What is gira?
GIRA is a traditional company and a globally leading provider of electrical installations in the smart home sector. In the industry, distribution has traditionally been from the specialized trade to the processing industry. However, there were new demands from end users that had not been considered before—neither in communication nor in product design.
The problem
Gira questioned how the digitalization of the organization could be initiated and implemented. There were many initiatives, ideas, and concepts, but the leap into the digital world had to occur holistically, not as a detached digital project.

Our solution
Together with Convidera, a digital target vision was developed in a streamlined strategy process, laying the foundation for the transformation. A digital innovation unit was created to ensure the digital reorientation of the business model took root within the company, allowing new competencies to be developed (for example, innovative sales of smart home solutions or AR in the area of maintenance). From the goal of opening up digital access for end customers and integrating them into the value creation process, a 15-person team emerged that is now responsible for the end customer area and continuously expands it.
Result
Double-digit indirect sales increase in online business through the activation of end customers
The development of a lead generation platform, which enables data-driven optimization of sales up to the analog installation of GIRA products. In addition, 1 million readers visit the online magazine annually, and over 100,000 followers engage with the social media channels.
